Enhanced Observer Functionality: The new Observer Dashboard allows observers to observe more than one student through the same account. At a glance, they can see vital information and easily switch from observing one student to another.

Early Warning System: A new tool that enables instructors to be alerted in a timely way to when students may be having academic difficulties. This capability: Enables instructors to quickly identify students who need more attention by defining rules against key performance metrics (Online Activity, Grades and/or Due Date).

Makes it easy for instructors to notify students and advisors about performance concerns via e-mail directly from the Early Warning System.

Gradebook Comments: Instructors and other graders can now provide individual feedback in addition to a grade for each student assignment, test or project. By adding comments to a grade, faculty can help explain the rationale for the grade, give positive feedback and provide suggestions for improvement.

Portfolios: The new Personal Portfolio allows individuals to express themselves with more options by using enhanced layout, style and design controls. Also, users can now use templates for their entire portfolios and manage multiple portfolios better by creating Personal Artifacts within or outside of their portfolio. They can then easily include these artifacts in multiple portfolios.
